Amy Beamer Human Resources

I think Human resources would be a really fun job. You don't need to spend ridiculous amounts of time in post secondary education. Also I like working with and helping people which is basically all human resources is.I have a job right now, and where I work we don't have a Human Resources Person. In my eyes my work is very corrupt and I think it would help employee relations a lot if we had a Human Resources Personelle. So that's why I'm very interested in being in the Human Resources field.

Ann Liebau, Midwife

I think being a midwife would be a really cool, rewarding job. They said that one of the most beautiful things is human birth. So if you like to be around babies or mothers giving birth then you should definitely look into this job. I liked how they brought the dolls in to show how it all goes down. I was surprised when I asked if there were any male Midwifes and they said there were! Would they be called midwives? Or mid-husbands?

Scott Wahl VP of RIM

I think that being the VP of any company let alone RIM would be very stressful. There is so much that you are responsible for a and it have to do. Like they say, with great power comes great responsibility. You have to be very responsible and set good examples for your employees. I don't really think I would be interested in Being a VP at RIM despite all the so called perks you get.

Jenn, Environmental Science Prof.

I think that being an environmental science professor would be a very hard job. It takes a lot of education to become a professor. That costs a lot of money to do all of the schooling. Also it takes a long time until you actually land a permanent job as a professor. however once you do, you would typically stay there for a really long time. I think it would be rewarding to teach kids about the environment and what they can do to make a difference.

Sidney Maclean, Lawyer

Sidney came to our class to talk about being a crown attorney. They are the lawyers in court that are trying to convict the person who has been sentenced. I eas very fascinated on the stuff she was talking about. I learned about the two different types of court. I learned about all the hard things they have to go through and how long it takes to become a lawyer. Being a lawyer is a job that really interests me. I think that it would be hard to achieve but once you got the job it would be very rewarding.

Melissa Durell

I really liked Melissa. She was really enjoyable to have. She was a really good speaker and it was really east to pay attention. She had a really positive attitude. I thought it was cool how she shared the story that made her want to become a journalist. I think it would be really cool to be a journalist because you would get to go to really cool places and report news. After Melissa came to speak it made me really want to take english in university and become a journalist.

Ken North Firefighter

I really enjoyed having my dad come in to speak for the class. I think his job is really cool and lots of people really dont know what firefighters actually do. I reaally liked how he askes the class what he thought they did and wrote all the stuff on the board then went over it for everyone. However I thought it would have been really cool if he had brought in props and showed everyone all the eqquipment and how it works.
